The DOM. THUNEVIN – CALVET DIVAE is the flagship cuvée born from the partnership between Bordeaux ‘garage wine’ legend Jean-Luc Thunevin and Roussillon vigneron Jean-Roger Calvet. This is a powerful, modern expression of the Côtes du Roussillon Villages appellation, driven by a high concentration of Syrah (90%) grown on granite and schist soils. Aged for 18 months in new French oak, the Divae is a collector’s dream: deeply concentrated yet polished with a seductive elegance.

Tasting Notes (Sommelier)

• Color: Deep, inky garnet, almost opaque.
• Nose: Profoundly intense with aromas of black cherry, violet, licorice, and Provençal garrigue, beautifully framed by luxurious notes of cocoa, mocha, and cedar from the new oak.
• Palate: Rich, full-bodied, and ripe, offering a ‘sexy’ and voluptuous texture. The tannins are remarkably smooth and silky, leading to a seriously long, spicy, and concentrated finish.

Pairing & Serving

Decant this wine for at least an hour and serve around 60°F (16°C). Its opulent structure demands a rich, savory main course.
