Château Les Grands Chênes, often referred to as ‘The Pearl of the Medoc,’ is a powerful and refined Cru Bourgeois Supérieur from the esteemed Left Bank. Under the meticulous direction of owner Bernard Magrez, this wine is crafted to express both the classic structure of Médoc and a contemporary, opulent richness. It represents a compelling blend, typically Merlot-dominant, which lends a fleshy, round texture, balanced by the firm backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Deep, concentrated ruby-garnet color.
• Nose: An aromatic powerhouse, offering intense layers of black cherry, ripe blackberry, and plum, beautifully interwoven with sophisticated hints of vanilla, cedar, and dark chocolate from new French oak aging.
• Palate: Full-bodied and fleshy, the wine boasts a rich mouthfeel. The tannins are fine-grained and elegant, providing superb structure without aggression. The finish is long, complex, and memorable, showcasing a perfect harmony of fruit, spice, and earth.

Pairing & Serving
