PLUS LA FLEUR BOUARD is the flagship, limited-production cuvée from Château La Fleur de Boüard, a project personally overseen by Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, the co-owner of the famed First Growth, Château Angélus. This is not a second wine; it is an ultra-premium, ‘haute couture’ expression, crafted exclusively from the estate’s oldest Merlot vines (100% varietal) grown on exceptional gravel-on-clay soils.

Tasting Profile & Vinification

The wine’s profound depth comes from an extended 33-month maturation period in 100% new French oak barrels. This commitment to quality yields a wine of immense power, yet exceptional elegance and smoothness. The wine presents a deep, dark garnet color. The nose is intense and layered, revealing:

• Primary Aromas: Ripe black cherry, cassis, and plum.
• Secondary Notes: Rich vanilla, mocha, dark chocolate, and cedar spice from the long oak aging.

On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with dense, polished tannins that provide a firm yet silky structure. The finish is long, complex, and astonishingly fresh. This is a collector’s item, built to rival the top Pomerol estates, with significant aging potential.
