Often dubbed the ‘Barolo of the South’ for its sheer structure and formidable aging potential, this iconic cru is crafted from ancient Aglianico vines grown in mineral-rich lava and ash soils, lending the wine unique depth and salinity.

Following a meticulous aging process in Slavonian oak and French barriques, the Don Anselmo unveils a powerful yet elegant profile:

• Color: Deep ruby red, evolving to garnet with age.
• Nose: A complex and enveloping bouquet. Expect intense aromas of ripe black cherry, black raspberry, licorice, cured tobacco, cocoa, and distinct earthy, tarry smoke, and mineral notes.
