The Cornas “Les Ruchets” Organic Red Wine is the flagship cuvée and true soul of Domaine Jean-Luc Colombo. Sourced from the estate’s oldest Syrah vines (up to 90 years old) on the steep, granite slopes of the Chaillot hillside, this single-parcel organic wine is a benchmark of the Northern Rhône Valley.
Tasting Notes & Profile
Boasting a deep, inky color, this Syrah presents an endlessly complex nose. It beautifully marries the floral elegance of violet with the rich intensity of dark, ripe fruit (blackberry, cassis), all lifted by classic Rhône notes of crushed black pepper, sweet spices, and a hint of tobacco. The palate is powerful and structured, yet the tannins are remarkably fine and silky, delivering a long, refined finish and significant cellar potential.
